People often ask me about the story behind my letter necklace, and the truth is—it holds a lot.

At 42 years old, I was a divorced single mom with two young kids, a small jewelry business and a future that looked nothing like the bright life I had planned. But I had my gold “J & S” necklace—for Jack & Sadie—and in many ways, it carried me. It was more than jewelry…it was a reminder of the love I had, the reason I kept going, and the story I was still writing.

I never expected to meet a man ten years younger who didn’t have children of his own, but would love mine like they were his. I didn’t expect to move three times in three years, to have another child or grow my business to the level that it is today.

And through it all, my necklace evolved with me. It now includes an “O” for Otis and a diamond for the sparkly business that I started 25 years ago in my studio apartment in New York. At the center is a heart symbolizing the life-changing love that heals me, grounds me and has brought me to the most radiant life I could have ever hoped for…
