Kristen’s Necklace: A Story of Faith, Family, and Healing

From: Hoover, AL.

One of the things we've always loved most about this brand is hearing the stories behind your jewelry. Sometimes the meaning is simple and sweet. And sometimes it’s layered with emotion, resilience, and faith. Kristen’s story is all of that.

Her necklace holds the initials of her three children — K, C, and M — along with each of their birthstones. Right at the center sits a pavé cross. She told us it’s her favorite piece of jewelry, right next to her wedding ring. And after hearing the emotional journey it's been through with her, we can see why.

It started on Mother’s Day. Her husband gave her the necklace with the first two charms — a K and an emerald for their oldest daughter. Then came Christmas. They added a C and an aquamarine for their son. The plan was to complete the necklace once their third baby arrived. Kristen shared that they were not even sure they would get to meet her. But she came into the world healthy and strong, the biggest of all three. They planned to add an M and a topaz.

Then everything changed.

Kristen put off sending her necklace back. A few months later, their son was diagnosed with leukemia and began treatment at St. Jude. During that time, her necklace became something more. She wore it constantly. It became her anchor. A reminder of her babies. A symbol of her faith. A small comfort in the middle of something unimaginable.

After a long journey, their son went into remission. They made it back home. One day, her husband gently asked, "Are you ever going to finish the necklace? I think we should add the pavé cross in the center."

And she did.

The cross now sits in the middle, surrounded by the initials and birthstones of her three little ones. It represents a chapter in their life filled with fear, love, prayer, and strength. Kristen shared that throughout everything, she kept coming back to a Bible verse that kept her grounded. "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart, I have overcome the world."

Her necklace carries that truth. It reflects the pain they walked through, the healing they experienced, and the faith that carried them when they could not carry themselves.

Kristen, thank you for sharing something so personal with us. We’re so honored to have played even a small part in your story.
