Some jewelry pieces carry a story far deeper than what meets the eye. For Ashley, that story lives inside a small ruby.
In July 2025, Ashley welcomed her daughter Sophie. It was a moment she had dreamed about for so long, imagining the day she would introduce her baby girl to the people she loved most.
But just a few months before Sophie arrived, Ashley’s family experienced an unimaginable loss. Earlier that year, Ashley's mother passed away suddenly.
Her mom had been so excited to become a grandmother. The kind of excitement that fills conversations with plans, questions, and daydreams about the future. She couldn’t wait to meet Sophie. And although she never got that moment, Ashley found a meaningful connection that felt almost like a quiet sign.
Sophie was born in July. The same birth month as her grandmother.
“Having my Mom and daughter share a birth month is so special,” Ashley told us.
Today, Ashley wears a 2 Letter Necklace with a gold “S” for Sophie and a ruby birthstone. Ruby represents July, the month both her daughter and her mother share.
What looks like a simple initial and a single stone carries an entire story of connection, loss, and new beginnings.
It’s a reminder that even when someone is gone, the threads that tie us together don’t disappear. Sometimes they show up in quiet ways. In shared birthdays. In traditions passed down. In the pieces we wear close to our hearts.
